Sany Elementary Carnival

The Sany Elementary had their annual Carnival yesterday. At the carnival each grade has to perform a dance that they have worked on for the last week. We have gone since alex was in kindergarten and recorded them each time. I thought it would be fun to show this years.

Alex did the Macerena

Ben did the chicken dance

Ariana and Cenna decided they wanted to dance as well so they made up their own. It kind of resembles crack the whip to me.

Tag I'm it

Tag I'm it!
I've been tagged...Here are the rules:

1. The rules of the game are posted at the beginning.
2. Each player answers the questions about themselves.
3. At the end, the player tags 5 others and posts their names. Then goes to their blog and posts them a comment to let them know they've been tagged and asks them to read your blog to find out the details.

Let’s Begin:

1. What was I doing 10 years ago: Let's see 10 years ago, I would have been almost 21 (2 days from now), I was planning my wedding to David, (next month will be 10 years) I was still at Snow College. I think that is about it.

2. Five things on my to-do list: 1. keep writing in my kids journals, (I am a little behind) 2. catch up on laundry 3. continue to type for my Dad 4. finish writing up my life history and David's. 5. continue to keep the house clean while taking care of 5 kids today. (it's a holiday today)

3. If I were a billionaire I would: probably get a house first, pay our for our bills, (so we don't have to worry about them) put money away for my kids college funds/missionary funds/savings. I would also like to give some of it away to different charities that really need the help. Give some to our families. Then put the rest of it into savings and let it continue to grow.

4. Bad habits: When I am nervous or if I have a lot on my mind, I bite my nails and it drives me crazy.

5. The last one is 5 places that I have lived. I have lived in Provo Utah, Dominican Republic for 3 years, Ephraim Utah, Draper Utah, and most current Sandy Utah.

Football

Alex Ben and I recently had the chance to go to a Utah Blaze game (Arena Football) it was a ton of fun we all came back hoarse from screaming and alex and ben even got a bunch of autographs from the team. We were lucky enough that Elann's brother Miles (who works for Kjazz) was able to get us really good seats.I forgot to take the camera to this but this picture of cassidy was football like enough for me.

Smilin Away

Look who decided to smile

Wax Museum

Alex participated in the 3rd grade wax museum. each student had to pick a person from history and reaserch them. Then they had to put that information that they found on a poster board. On the day of the event they dressed up as the Character and had to stand still like a wax figure for 3 hours while parents went through the museum to see the figures. They did get a break about every 20 minutes. Alex wanted to be Betty Ross but her teacher changed her to Harriet Tubman. Alex and the other students had a lot of fun doing it.

Award For Honesty

Alex received this award for being trustworthy she was nominated by teachers and students. You may recall Ben won a similar award awhile back.

Little Gangsters

The kids were playing around and found some of my hats. They decided that they were going to be gansters so they started poseing for us and this is what came out.

No Pictures Thank you

Plans are made and can be changed at the drop of a hat or the scream of a kid. Alex started complaining that her mouth hurt. I thought okay, cavity. Of course it's not something that easy to take care of. As it turned out her teacher and a couple of classmates had been sick recently with a Viral infection of the mouth. In layman terms canker sores all over the inside of their mouths, and wouldn't you know it they were contagious and went to school anyway. So plans to visit family were put on hold and Alex went into quarantine with large doses of medicine. Unfortunately I wasn't fast enough and Ariana caught it. I thought an 8 yr old was bad. luckily we were able to get Ariana on medicine right away and have almost completely stopped it. So for you morbid readers out there sorry no pictures, it wasn't a sight that I wanted to document.
